Stittgen Fine Jewelry was announced as the winner of the Small Business of Year award at the Excellence Awards Gala hosted by the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. The event, held at the Hollyburn Country Club on April 25th, was attended by business leaders as well as representatives from all levels of government.
Guests were shown a video presentation on each finalist, and it was evident that they were all strong candidates. While the winner was kept secret till this gala event, the selection process had been rigorous. The judges consisted of a panel of community and business leaders. Judging criteria included objective measures of excellence, documentary evidence of growth and success, positive impact within the trade or industry, local community involvement, verifiable testimonials, and other forms of recognition from consumers and media.
